Starbucks Corp. is discontinuing its breakfast sandwich featuring Impossible Foods Inc.’s sausage patty, extending a trend of restaurant chains moving away from plant-based meat options.
The product, first introduced in 2020, will be phased out this month. It was the only item on Starbucks advertised US menu with plant-based meat. Starbucks has offered other meatless items, such as an egg, pesto and mozzarella sandwich.
