President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio plan to greet an oil tanker arriving in Texas from Venezuela on Tuesday, a bid to showcase supply from the Latin American country a week before US midterm elections.
Trump confirmed the plan before departing for the port of Corpus Christi, where he intends to campaign for Texas Republican Senate candidate Ken Paxton, who is locked in a close race with Democratic opponent James Talarico.
